Description

Survive till Merciless, lets go all the way. Basically, you can use two handed weapons early game to max dps from spectral throw, later on I use one handed with shield and armor + hp and resists gear. Do whatever you find suits you.

Suggested Leagues: Standard, Hardcore, Solo Race, Nemesis

Passive Skills

Each link will open in a new tab in your browser.

Gems

dps w/ utility. This got me through to act 2 on cruel. Will continue to update as I go along.

Added Lightning Damage

Adds lightning damage to a skill.

Added Lightning Damage
Lesser Multiple Projectiles

Causes 2 additional projectiles to be fired by projectile skills.

Lesser Multiple Projectiles
Spectral Throw

Throws a spectral copy of your melee weapon. It flies out and then returns to you, in a spinning attack that strikes enemies in its path.

Spectral Throw
Life Leech

Restores players life based on damage dealt to enemies.

Life Leech

Aura/ Curses to run. For aura's anything that fits your playstlye. I have decent gear for cruel with max 75% resists, I just take a flask with me and rush bosses with clarity. I switch to purity if I feel uneasy.

Clarity

Casts an aura that grants mana regeneration to you and your allies.

Clarity
Projectile Weakness

Curses all targets in an area, making them easier for projectiles to pierce and easier to knock back, while reducing their evasion against projectiles.

Projectile Weakness
Vitality

Casts an aura that grants life regeneration to you and your allies.

Vitality
Determination

Casts an aura that grants armour to you and your allies.

Determination

Fire trap/ Bear Trap/ Self Explanatory, but take the traps for kiting Brutus, or fights where you're too scared to stop in one place for too long.

Fire Trap

Throws a trap that explodes when triggered, leaving an area of burning ground that damages enemies who walk through it.

Fire Trap
Bear Trap

Throws a trap that damages and immobilises a single enemy.

Bear Trap

Bandits

Help Oak in Normal Difficulty - Rewards +40 to Maximum Life
Help Oak in Cruel Difficulty - Rewards +12% to Physical Damage
Kill all the bandits in Merciless Difficulty - Rewards 1 Passive Skill Point

Gear

Basically, three link through normal for Spectral throw, added lightning, and Lesser Multiple Projectiles.
You get all three gems from quests for scion, so no worries on that end. Life leech you get in act 1 on cruel so dont worry about that till then. At least, I dont. (that sentence tho lols) Four link in cruel and just have some decent resist gear with hp on it/ armor is always nice. Some people like to go evasion over armor. Whatever floats your boat. I run Rarity gear in normal if I have it, since it's normal, you tend to die less if you use this build since high hp regen early on. Just dont go facetanking everything and you'll be fine.

Guide

Kinda explained above.
But to reiterate.

-Find rarity gear in normal/ anything with hp is great.

-Grab Clarity and use it asap. Helps negate the cost of ST.

-Avoid getting frozen. Frozen sucks. You can't move. (obvi)

-I like to farm safe till im either equal to the area im rushing in lvl or over atleast 2 lvls.

-Most of your dps will come from gear/ gems as you scale them into mid and late game.

-My mindset is, whats the point of late game dps if I cant get to late game.

-Will continue to update guide/ answer any questions as I go along.

-Goodluck!

Why not invest in Iron Grip since you have so much strength on that build? DPS would be much better isn't?

Thanks for the feedback! Changed and updated where I would like to see this go. I took your advice and grabbed iron grip, good dps sink, while grabbing a couple shield buffers here and there.

Currently, I am wonder if you could update us on your current progress and how well its going for you. Also the 1st link in your "Passive Section" is broken, you literally have to delete the first part of the link and then hit enter to actually go to the build. lol. Just throwing that out there.

I would lose the shield and run with a 2 handed weapon. more damage and with a 5L you can put faster attacks on there. those points you put into shield slots i would put into going for Iron Reflexes this will give you a lot more armor making you more of a tank.
