Description

Great for leveling through the first two difficulties and still viable in Merciless if you have good gear. Played correctly, you can solo maps without dying and take down both large crowds and tanky uniques with ease.

Suggested Leagues: Standard, Solo Race, Domination

Gear

Head: Goldrim
Chest: A good evasion chest (preferably Bronn's Lithe) at least 5L. Resistances matter little if you can get good ones on your boots and rings.
Gloves: Maligaro's Virtuosity
Boots: Movement speed at least 20 and at least 30 for all res (may very well be one of your most expensive items)
Belt: Wurm's Molt (no exceptions)
Rings: High ele resists
Amulet: Daresso's Salute early on and then Carnage Heart with a high leech roll
Weapons: Highest phys dps daggers you can get - obtain a pair of Ungil's Gauches early on and then switch to Mightflays as early on as possible - they will last you for a long time.

Guide

Early on, make sure you have a piece of 4L gear so that you can run faster attacks, melee phys, and splash on your dual strike. From there add multistrike and then damage on full life when/if you get a 6L.

I'd run two health flasks, two diamonds and a mana until you get high enough mana leech and vaal pact with at least 10% leech. At that point, run an ele flask based on your current area (i.e, ruby for docks or crematorium) along with a granite and three diamonds.

A note on the build progression - get the stuff closest to the ranger first, swinging for Acrobatics ASAP. From there, expand upwards as far as the mana leech and then head down to Vaal Pact - at that point you should have high enough leech. From there, grab Diamond Flesh and then the other high damage and life nodes along the way, eventually expanding into the Duelist tree.

And a side note - if you have high enough res that you can spare a ring slot, go with a Romira's Banquet. The build doesn't actively use power charges, so you basically get massive crit chance for free. Also, the accuracy tends to help and the 2% mana leech is very handy - I have 7% mana leech currently on this build and anything below that would not give me enough mana to work with.

If you know you can get a romira's, I suggest helping Alira in Merciless and perhaps getting the +1 power charge node right near the Mind Drinker notable.
